This is Guy Young, local racing favorite and driver for the North State Modified Series. Guy and the rest of the pack of Modified’s will be at Shasta Speedway 2 times this season. The first will be on June 22nd during the Shasta District Fair and the 2nd will be the last race of the season at the Lloyd Burton “Against the Wind” modified challenge. If you’ve watched this series then you know this is top notch exciting race action. Just the sound of these engines will keep you coming back every year!
Join us June 22nd for the Shasta District Fair! A fun day of art exhibits, livestock, food and rides followed by an exciting night of racing featuring the North State Modified’s, Late models, legends and hornets. This is one of the biggest events of the season!
No race season is complete without fireworks! Anderson Explodes with a night of great local racing and then the infield becomes a place to lay out the blanket and enjoy a patriotic evening of fireworks! This is a great community event that is popular every year.
The biggest and most coveted race of the year is by far the Lloyd Burton “Against the wind” modified challenge. This is the last race of the year for not only the Shasta Speedway but for the North State Modified’s. This is the last chance to get those points! That’s what makes it a great race. There will be lots of competition and a little rubin’ to boot. Definitely not a race to miss. We’ll see you there!

Need more racing ?
We live in a great area with lots of fun things to do with friends and family. For more racing action we suggest the Redding Drag Strip. Check their 2019 schedule out. Kool April Nites has a drag event out there that should not be missed. If it’s Karts you’re into then Shasta Kart Klub may be for you. They have a very competitive track. Lets not forget our neighbors in Tehama county, the Silver Dollar Speedway for dirt track racing and the Red Bluff Outlaws! If you haven’t been to a dirt track you owe it to yourself to experience it. So weather it’s right here in our backyard or somewhere close by, you can get your fill of Northern California racing.
