Welcome to the Shasta Speedway where local auto racing has been going on for nearly 80 years. The paved 3/8 mile track is owned and operated by the Shasta District Fair & Event Center and supported by local sponsors and fans like you. When it comes to outdoor activities in Shasta County, car racing is high on the list with the biggest events being the Shasta District Fair, the 4th of July fireworks by Anderson Explodes and the biggest race of the year, the Lloyd Burton “Against the Wind” Modified Challenge.
Over the years the Shasta Speedway has been host to the NASCAR K&N series, Pacific Challenge Series, North State Modified series and countless local racers, some dating back 5 generations.
Check out the racing schedule for the 2020 season and bring the family down for some good old fashioned auto racing. Admission is only $10 for adults and kids 12 and under get in free. Visit the snack bar for hamburgers, hot dogs and cold drinks and be sure to cheer for your favorite race cars and drivers because they love a live crowd in the grandstands. Once a race car driver always a race car driver. It gets in your blood. Even if they don’t own a race car anymore they still want to drive.
